Set weekdays and times for reminders

Need meds on selected weekdays, not every day? In Add Medicine, leave One-time off, choose Weekly, pick Schedule days, add clock times, then Save. Alerts fire at those times - household logistics on your phone, not dosing advice.

Weekly medication days and clock times on Android

Set Weekly days and times in Add Medicine

  1. On the Meds list, tap + to open Add Medicine (empty-state copy may say New Med).
  2. Leave the One-time switch off so the repeating schedule fields stay visible.
  3. Under Repetition Period, choose Weekly (it is the default on a new medicine).
  4. Under Schedule days, tap the weekday chips (MON…SUN) you need, or tap All.
  5. Tap Add time under Times and pick one or more clock times. Each time applies on every selected day.
  6. Tap Save. The app stores the days and times, creates upcoming scheduled doses, and sets exact alarms for those clock times.

Limitations

  • Times are shared across the days you select - you cannot give Monday one map of times and Tuesday a different map.
  • There is no weekly digest email or Sunday summary mail of doses.
  • Alerts fire at the times you set, not a separate “minutes before” lead.
  • Exact-alarm permission and phone battery or OEM settings can still affect whether a reminder arrives.
  • This schedule is logistics on your phone - not clinical dosing advice and not a Google Fit adherence score.

Smart Meds Reminder is a medication reminder and log. It is not medical advice and does not replace a qualified clinician or pharmacist.

FAQ

Can I set different times on different weekdays?

No. Each time you add under Times applies on every selected Schedule day. You cannot set Monday morning and Tuesday evening as independent maps.

Will I get a weekly digest email?

No. The app schedules alerts at each dose clock time you set. It does not send a Sunday email summary of the week.

Do alerts fire minutes before each dose?

No. Reminders fire at the clock times you add under Times - not a separate minutes-before offset.
